11pce Vintage Japanese Satsuma Coffee Set Matte Black HandPainted Gold Landscape

  
A very striking coffee set comprising of lidded teapot, sugar bowl and milk jug plus 4 little demitasse coffee cups and saucers. The exterior finish is a matte black with intricate hand painted, gold decoration on back and front of each piece. Overall the condition is in very good with some signs of light surface wear indicative of age, there is expected crazing throughout and one cup with heavier crazing than the rest, the unglazed area at the rim where the lids sit have some light staining and one saucer has a little chip at the edge.

The gold metal tray is not included however is available in my other items.
