The borders to the uppers of each piece are decorated with a twisted cord design with scrolls and cockleshells to the corners. As mentioned in the title the set is gleaming to the outer with a superbly ample silver cover apart from one small pale freckle to in the lee of the belly of the teapot this means coupled with its diminutive size it is unobtrusive when on display and a very hard to spot feint dint to the coffee body. To the inners there are signs of use and age with some staining (not build up) of tannin to the main pots and loss of surface in places to the cream jug and sugar basin.
To the cream jug this was most probably caused by lactic acid present in dairy items and to the sugar some signs of abrasion caused from the sharp sugar granules. There is a stable hairline to the teapot knop as shown in the relevant image.
Displays well, a really splendid looking set with only the insides to the pieces really showing age/use. Makers marks: please see image.
