A Vintage Studio Pottery Coffee Set for 6. Made by Celtic Pottery of Newlyn in Cornwall. Celtic pottery was started in Mousehole by Bill and Maggie Fisher in the mid 1960s.

Maggie was a Canadian design graduate, the Celtic Folk design range which was developed became very popular. I believe this particular pattern is called'Medallion', and was produced in the late 1960s. It has a traditional earthen coloured body, which carries an inscribed repeat pattern Celtic symbol design. Three of these items carry the Newlyn pottery gold sticker on their bases. The coffee pot measures approximately 28cm tall with it's lid x 12cm in diameter at it's widest point x 16cm wide from handle to spout.

The jug measures approximately 16cm tall x 10cm in diameter at it's widest point x 14cm wide from handle to spout. The sugar bowl measures approximately 6cm tall with x 11cm in diameter at it's widest point. Each mug measures approximately 7cm tall x 9cm in diameter at it's widest point x 11cm wide from handle to the edge of the opposite side. Each plate measures approximately 15cm in diameter.
